Real Estate Agents Authority

The ‘Real Estate Authority’ or ‘REA’ (operating name) are the independent government agency that regulates the New Zealand real estate industry. REA’s previous name — ‘Real Estate Agents Authority’ or ‘REAA’ — is its legal name. The Real Estate Agents Authority is a Crown entity, established under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008.

REA promotes a high standard of service and professionalism in the real estate industry and helps protect buyers and sellers of property.
